13 & Under Fall 2002
Welcome to Our 13&under Fall Season. For now I will be putting up some News and pictures and some general info as time permits ......but as we move on..hopefully more & more info can be accumulated here for all to enjoy!!!!.....
This year's 13 & under fall prep league is being coached by Jim Filmer and Pete Schirmer. Team members are: Greg Irwin, Dan Filmer, Donny Allen, Chris Peck, Jon Hickey, Chris Cannaverde, Mike Schirmer , Andrew Ballas, Corey Calvin, James Purtle, Steven James, Scott Allen.
The New Fairfield 13 and Under team completed their season with a double header victory versus Bethel on Sunday October 27th. With the sweep New Fairfield finished the season with a 7-5 record. (see Game Results page)
The leading hitters for New Fairfield were Chris Cannaverde, Greg Irwin, Chris Peck, Andrew Ballas and Danny Filmer. James Purtle with 4 doubles 8 RBI's and Donnie Allen with 2 triples and 9 RBI's supplied the power. Scott Allen, Steven James and Cory Calvin showed improvement throughout coming up from the small diamond. The pitching was led by Mike Schirmer, Jon Hickey, Irwin, Peck and Filmer. The coaches would like to thank all the players and their parents for another great faIl season, with special thanks to Mr. BaIlas for keeping all the stats!
